ABOUT ABOUT

National Doughnut Day was established in 1938 by the Salvation Army. It was intended both to honor veterans from World War One, and as a fundraiser to help those affected by the Great Depression. Over the years, “Doughnut Day” has been participated in by many as a fun way to continue the tradition. Now the world has again been shaken, this time by the COVID-19 epidemic, and we at Kuipers Family Farm want to do our part to help those in need. The day following National Doughnut Day, we are inviting you to come lend your hand…. or better yet, your stomach, to raise money for a good cause!

On Saturday June 6th, we are teaming up with CASA Kane County to bring you a delicious curbside-pickup fundraiser. We want to help you get your summer kicked off the right way; by loading up your car with all your favorite Kuipers Family Farm treats! Our fresh apple cider donuts will be available, with $2 of every sale going to CASA Kane County. In addition to donuts, we will also have refreshing apple cider slushies, delicious Kettle Corn, our sweet Mini Apple Pie, and our limited-time Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. For the thirsty adult, we also will be selling the last of our Cherry Wine and Spiced Wine, in addition to our Chai Hard Cider.

We are proud to work with CASA Kane County for this event. CASA organization “is a Guardian Ad Litem, nonprofit volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of children in abuse, neglect, and private guardianship cases within the Juvenile Court system. Our highly trained volunteers are appointed by a judge to represent the best interests of children in the abuse and neglect court.  The Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian Ad Litem (CASA/GAL) volunteer will be the consistent person in the child’s life.”

In an effort to limit the number of people at the farm at any one time, you much choose from five one-hour timeslots when placing your online order. We then ask that you arrive sometime during the chosen one-hour timeslot. Our staff and volunteers will usher your car into the farm, find or take your order, and supply you with your items purchased in an orderly manner, all while wearing masks and safely distancing as your remain in your car. Guests will not be allowed to exit their vehicles while at the farm. Restrooms are not available on site.
